Looking for something to do tomorrow? I know the weekend is a busy one in terms of local dance events, but if anyone is still looking for something fun to do...
Tomorrow, Aida of San Francisco is joining us at Habeeba's Cincinnati for a day of workshops and an evening show.
Here's a link to the flyer and regiatration info:

And here's a link to Aida's website:

Personally, I have to say that I'm very excited to hear Aida's take on the interplay between dancers and musicians, because she is well-versed in both middle eastern dance and music. Look at her website for her pedigree, it's impressive.
And I think we should make her sing :).
The show starts at 7:30 and will feature Habeeba's Dance Company, the Zaghareets, Dyani, Erica, Raks al Dounya, Azha, Jocinda, Ruric, the Oasis Flappers, Anaya Gypsy and many more. And as a side note, we're proud to introduce Anaya's student troupe, Eshne Dance! (Eshne means "little fire".)

Re: Better late than never?
Sun, October 19, 2008 - 9:32 AMHey! Great workshop and show! Aida was such a good teacher... and what a personality! And the show... I do believe that it was one of my favorite shows that I've been to. It was amazing to see how creative and inventive people are when they are completely unrestricted!
I am looking forward to this event next year... thanks! =)
